anyone who has experience of the archives in the area know if there are any ships passenger lists for arrivals in Glasgow in the late 1880-1900's ??
looked at the Mitchell and the Glasgow City Archives and the Glasgow & West of Scotland Family History Society , but cannot seem to pinpoint that sort of information on any of them
they were Jews , and started in living in Commercial Road, which I believe was a poor part of the city ??
think there may be some records at the Glasgow Jewish Archives Centre but not arrivals
hoping there are some to make it worthwhile for a trip to visit the jewish archive and double up with a visit to where any shipping records are held![]()
