    Thanks Colin and Cobbybrook, I'll try to get hold of copies of those books - might have to be through ebay since my local libraries don't hold anything much besides very basic genealogy guides. Once I get to England again I'll certainly be searching for things like that in various record offices - since most of my lot came from small villages there aren't too many farms they could have been employed at. I hope!
