Hello Maz, On BVRI I found this marriage for a John Woolfries (there were also 3 in the 1700's) , there are also 16 other Woolfries married in the 1800's plus quite a few in the 1700's ... all in Dorset

there are more than 40 Woolfries (other 1st names) in the census as well.

there are 184 IGI records for Dorset.

I hope you can find something in amongst all this.

    Default 1841 Census

    Hi Maz,
This is hopefully who you are looking for:-

    HO107/289/13 Folio 27 Page19
    Morden, Dorset
    Hannah Woolfries 44
    Thomas 43 Ag Lab
    John 22
    Francis 20
    William 18
    Ellen 12
    Andrew 8
    Edwin 4
    Emma 3

All have stated 'Yes' to born in county and no occupation is given other than for Thomas. They are listed as they appear on census ie Hannah first.
    Cheers Jeremy

    Default 1851 census

    Hi Maz,
The 1851 census gives this information and may be more likely to be your John?

    HO107/1856 Folio 542 Page 6
    6 Hurst, Moreton, Dorset
John Woolfryes Jnr Head 35 General Dealer Shopkeep Born Portesham Dorset
    Elizabeth Wife 35 Born Waddock

    7 Hurst
John Woolfryes Snr Head 53 Ag Lab Born Moreton
    Millicent Wife 57 Born Fleet
Rose Anna Dau 17 Scholar Born Moreton
Ann James Visitor 4 Born London
Robert Rawles Lodger 50 Ag Lab Born Moreton

I would hazzard a guess the Thomas from 1841 census and John Woolfryes Snr are brothers?
    Cheers Jeremy
