My father Charles Saunders served in the 5th Northamptonshire Regiment, 78th (Battleaxe) Division and was wounded in North Africa 14 March 1943. He was cared for in various Field Ambulance and Gen Hospitals etc. In his military records there are abreviations I am having problems with. Can anyone help? They are:IAMRC, IRTD, X(i) list, X(ii) list, X(iv) list.
Thanks for any help.

The X Lists recorded personnel who were absent from their regular units for one reason or another.
Although this site is for New Zealand forces it should give you an ldea.

IAMRC could be IAMC (Indian Army Medical Corps). IRTD stands for Infantry Reinforcement Training Depot.
