Hoping to find anyone researching the name Horlock.

My grandmothers name was Florence Rose Horlock. Born in Dorchester 188? She had a sister, name could be Mary.

No connection, but the GRO index has a birth registered:

Dec 1882 - HORLOCK, Florence Rose - Dorchester, Vol. 5a Page 331

Obtaining a copy of the birth certificate will provide her parents' names and mother's maiden name, which should hopefully match up with other information contained in marriage certificate and census returns.

Although Florence Rose's mother Sarah is said to be a widow in 1891, it appears doubtful that she was ever married, as she appears in the 1881 census with her mother and stepfather and her first two children Mary and George. She is said to be unmarried.
