Hi
I am stuck with my gr. grandmother and family her name is Margaret Marras/Marris and i have her marrage cert she married on 6 jul 1910 in port glasgow to a Wiliam Graham she died on the 14 may 1946 in Clydebank but i cant find her birth at all i am now wondering if she was born in Scotland i have checked Scotlands people with no sucess with either BMD and census the first i have of her is her marriage i am guessing she was born about 1889 by the ages on her marriage and death cert.
Her father was called James Marras and i cant find anything about him at all other than his name and occupation on Margarets mariage cert it says he is deceased s i dnt know f he ded before they came to Scotlandher mother was called Rachael Ross i have her death in port glasgow in 1918 age 59 so i am assuming maybe she came to scotland with daughter
on the 1891 census there is a Rachael Mars age 34 born Ireland and is down as sister to head of house this may be sister in law as living with them is also a Christopher Ross born Ireland brother in law to head i dont know if this is her but in 1901 at the same address is a Rachael Moor age 61? born Ireland and her daughter Maggie Moor age 12 born in Port Glasgow i dont know if this is them either.
Thanks for listening any help would be great
Louise
