Hello there Down Under,
Looking for any information on my uncle, Angus Maciver.
Originally from 28 North Tolsta, Isle of Lewis, Scotland. Served RNR during the war. He was involved in Special Operations, took part in the raid on St Nazaire.
Married in London after the war and moved to New Zealand, Aukland I think.
May have joined the NZ Navy.
We know very little about him, his service experiences must have been interesting.
Thought it might be easier to get some gen from that side of the world on this one. The usual channels have not been of much assistance.

Thanks ChristineR,
I was refering to World War 2, sorry for not making that clear.
Angus and his wife are sadly no longer with us. They had one son who is also sadly deceased.
Anything on the family would be appreciated.
Thanks again.

Not sure if you are still interested, but I found a couple of hits for Angus Maciver in the NZ government's archives search Archway. One is a coroner's inquest in 1980. There is also a probate for retired seaman Angus Maciver in 1993.
Take a look for yourself, some might be relevant to you.
