Sidney Waring, Fish & Poulterer, Didsbury

Does anyone have any information on a fish & Poultry shop in Didsbury? The shop was owned by Sidney & Ada Waring (formerley Bailey). Sidney was born C1886 and was a fish shop assistant on 1901 census.
The shop was operating in WW2, but have no other details.

If you type Didsbury into your search engine, you can find the website for this area of Manchester. If you have the address of the fish and poultry shop, you will probably be able to find what is on the site now. Didsbury is quite a vibrant vilage/area of Mcr these days, so I doubt if the shop is still as was, but it could possibly be a food outlet still.

Hi Janet,
Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately I have no other information at all, just family lore. I know Sidney Waring and Ada Bailey were married in 1928, so presume that he was working in the shop at that time, and that it operating during WW2, but have no idea where the shop was in Didsbury, nor when Sidney Waring actually became the owner. It is possible that it was owned by another member of the family before Sidney, though his father, Joseph Waring, was an Inspector of Works.
