    The 1851 census transcript shows:
    HO107/1823 f127 p11
    Long Street, Great Ellignham
Robert SPENCER, Head, Mar, 23, Farm Lab, Great Ellingham
Ann SPENCER, Wife, Mar, 20, , Great Ellingham
William SPENCER, Son, Unm, 7m, , Great Ellingham

    1841 census
    HO107/781/08
    Gt Ellingham
Robert (TWIDNEY?), 40, (Deallman?), bn Nfk
    Mary Twidney?, 45, bn Nfk
    Rebecca SPENCER, 15, bn Nfk
    Sophia Spencer, 15, bn Nfk
    Robert Spencer, 14, bn Nfk

The Norfolk Transcription Archive has a few records for Gt Ellingham, including:
1819 Thomas SPENCER married Mary MITSON
1836 Robert TWIDNEY married Mary SPENCER

Now as a passing thought, suppose Thomas + Mary Spencer were the parents of Rebecca, Sophia and Rober - Thomas popped his clogs around 1830-5 and his widow married Robert Twidney - hence the children living with them in 1841. 'Tis just an idea for which you will need to refer to the Parish Registers to confirm/refute the idea.

    Smile Spencer - Great Ellingham

    Geoffers,

That's brilliant - thank you very much. Looks like I will need to peruse the Parish Registers next.
