    Question searching lincoln for layton&holmes

    hi all,am searching for any info on samuel layton in lincoln before and after his marriage to sarah charlotte holmes in 1853.i cannot find his death.and anything on sarah too.hope im not asking too much.thanks

    More grist for the mill-

    1861 census has Sarah C LAYTON born Holborn, London

    The IGI has Sarah Charlotte Hyde HOLMES born/bap 1830/1832 Holborn, dau of William and Christiana.

    There was a marriage 1817 at Lincoln - William HOLMES to Christina WORSLEY.

    This seems to tie one or two things together
