Hayes (or Hays) family

Is anyone researching this family, possibly living in the Shearsby area in the 1790s.

My GGGF Joseph Hayes is recorded in the Warwickshire 1871 census as having been born in Shearsby about 1792.

Unfortunately, it is difficult for me to visit and obtain any other information.

The 1851 census says Smisby and 1798 but that is only a transcription.

Can anyone help please.
