    Question Burial Record Uffington Berks

I am trying to find a burial record for my great great grandmother, Ann Breakspear. I know that she was alive in 1846, as she had a son John in that year, however she is not on the 1851 census, and my great great grandfather is listed as a widower. The family were living in the Uffington/Woolstone area in Berkshire, i have been unable to find a death certificate, but she must have been buried, so that is my only hope of tracking her down.
Anyone know where the records for those parishes are kept?
    Thanks

GRO Death Index Dec Qtr 1845 Ann BREAKSPEAR, Witney Reg Dist, Vol 16 Page 80

    Could this be her?

Have you found the birth reg of her son John, or are you going from a census age? Could it be possible that he was born before 1846? Can't find registration for him.

Records are in the Berkshire Records Office, http://www.berkshirerecordoffice.org...tory/index.htm

or you can check the LDS family history centres - they may have the film.

That could be the death cert, i haven't found a birth cert for her son, but there is a baptismal record for 22nd Feb 1846, so he could have been born in 1845.
Thanks, i will apply for that certificate, if it isn't her, then i will have to make a trip down to the records office,
    cheers, Irene

Berkshire Burial Index available from the Berkshire Family History Society has many burials for the name Breakspear/e in Uffington and surrounding areas.

There is an Ann on 4 May 1845 age 29 in Uffington, St. Mary

Thanks very much, that looks like it could very well be my Ann, the age would be about right. It would mean that her son was baptised several months after his birth, something which i have found frequently with the Breakspears.
    Once again, thanks very much,
    Irene
