Question Difficulty reading Army census info

My husband's grandfather was Frank Smith (I know - 100s of them!) However, I have found him on the 1901 Census (RG13/1784) stationed in Felixstowe with (I think) the Army. However, I can't figure out the occupation details. Genes Reunited has transcribed it as "Br R G Arty". Looking at the image I'm sure the Br is his rank. He definitely wasn't a Brigadier so what does it mean? I thought Arty must be Artillery, but looking at the handwriting it looks more like an H than an A. I'm stumped! Can any clever soul out there help me??

For future reference, please provide the full census reference - series, piece, folio, page

As it happens I've found this one. I think it means Bombardier, Royal Garrison Artillery.

Exclamation Give the girl a break!

It took me ages, and a lot of reading of different threads, to work out exactly what I could put on a post as a reference without infringing copyright but giving enough detail for people to find it. It's confusing for a newbie.

Give Candy a break, Peter she's only been subscribed for a month!
