Hello,

Trying to trace the redfern family who resised in Portwoood St, Stockport.
I have Thomas Redfern's will (1799-1854). There was some big family bust up re Joseph (Abt. 1816-1870).
My query did he marry twice among other things.
Joseph's first son was born 1842, and Thomas 1845. I have a ?second wife Margaret Sefton b. abt. 1829 (1881 census she has remarried Josiah Turner) by 1891 on her son's marriage she is deceased.
Joseph and Margaret's children appear to start with Joseph born 1854 through to Alfred 1866.
She is too young to be having children in 1842! Joseph was written out of his father Thomas' will 2 months before Thomas died- prior to that he was to take over the family business. In Joseph's will of 1870 he mentions "my natural daughter Hannah" after listing all other family members.
So does any one have access to 1841/1851/1861 census which may help me sort Joseph out?
