    Default Harry Wright HMS Lapwing

    Hi could anyone please tell me/help me find more info on Harry Wright service number D/jx 679712 he died when the ship sank in about 1945 (its wat i have been told). I would like to find service record/pictures etc where would i go to do this or does any one have any info on it

    The CWGC web-site gives some information on Harry WRIGHT
    including date of death

    There is some information and a photo of the sloop here

    And this on the BBC web-site

    There are several other links which turn up using a search engine.

    If his service record survives, you can find details on how to obtain it via the Veteran's Agency

    The National Maritime Museum (NMM) may have photos of the ship in its historic photographs collection.
