I have transcripts of Bedfordshire parish records for the following areas ONLY:- SHEFFORD: Parish Register (Campton cum Shefford) Baptisms, Marriages, Banns & Burials 1568 - 1812 ..................... SOUTHILL: Independent (Baptist) Church 1693-1851. Church book recording proceedings baptisms etc. ..................... BEDFORD ST PAULS: Methodist Circuit Book. Mainly lists of members of the circuit 1781 - 1904 but includes some info on St Ives & Higham Ferrars Circuit, Luton & Hertford Circuit and Leighton Buzzard Circuit .
Happy to look for particular folks.
Indexed but full name and approx date would narrow the search.

Hi David
Many thanks for your offer. Would you mind doing two look ups for me please?
In the Southill records is there a Sarah Bimson? She married George Waldock at Southhill on 28 Nov 1747 - I don't know from where she came. Also in your St Ives records are there any Waldocks mentioned - it would be from about 1812 onwards?
Cheers
Susan

Maybe only the bedford St Paul's one ... any HATTAM (or ATTAM or ... ) .. there won't be many if indeed there are any at all. But it'd be useful to know even a zero answer.
Thank you

Nothing on Sarah or George, but I will look at the Southill Parish Register next time I'm in Bedford, probably next Tuesday, quite often if one of the new spouses is not 'of this parish' it says where they are from.
I've listed the following for you to put in the file marked, ' Not relevent but I wish I had made a note of that at the time'
Members of Methodist Circuit
Tatterinhoe and Eaton
1795
Thos. WALDECK, married, a stone cutter
Stokely
1796 & 1799
Mary WALDUCK
Silsoe
1804
William WALDOCK s (single)
Silsoe
1806
William WALDOCK m (married)
Eliza WALDOCK m (married)
I have been told that the BMD records for the Methodists are in the Bedfordshire Conty Record Office.

Thanks for your generous offer. Don't suppose there is the baptism of John Collis lurking in the Shefford PR's? According to the 1851 census he should have been born there in about 1782, but I won't hold my breath!
Best wishes

Now why doesn't that surprise me....! However, maybe this could be the elusive John's parents
I'll have to think about that one! Very many thanks for your help.
Best wishes
