I may be able to find your Grandfather mentioned in the book - "The Chilwell Story" - I have a copy here.It would be best to post some info in the Nottinghamshire section of the forum rather than begin a thread here in the "Introduce Yourself" section - otherwise Bo Peep will be after me!
In the meantime, welcome to the forum!
Cheers,
Mark

I wasn't suggesting that you had done wrong - your introduction was fine
I was just suggesting that if you were going to mention further details about the family - which we can hopefully help with - that the Nottinghamshire forum is the best place. As I mentioned, I have the Chilwell Story book - which is specifically about the Ordnance factory and *may* have reference to your grandfather. Mostly it refers to senior bods there and technical stuff, but some of the workers are mentioned. My wifes grandmother worked there during WW2, but she isn't mentioned for example.
Cheers,
Mark

Hello BurGlenB

Welcome to Brit-Gen forums. Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself, and you have followed the rules just fine! I did not see a research query at all, just following the suggestions in the box up top perfectly.
Please pop along to the board that Mark suggested, and hopefully someone can help with your grandfather.Introduce Yourself - Tell us about yourself, how long you have been researching and the problems you are having (or had) when trying to trace your family history. Please do not post your research queries on this board as it is ONLY for introducing yourself.
Good luck with your research.
