Have you tried contacting the Doncaster and District Family History Society?

They may be able to help.

    Good luck with your research,

Have you looked on the National Archives site (A2A)? If not, if you do an advanced search using "Thomas Senior" (include the speech marks) in the first box and Doncaster in the second, info comes up relating to Seniors.

    Just Googling...

    Woodlaithes Village

Originally part of the Manor of Conisbrough

In 1727, George Platt, a mason from Lyme, Cheshire, married Elizabeth Rickard of Doncaster. They lived at Red House, Woodlaithes where there [sic] son John Platt (1728-1810), the famous architect and mason, was born.

In the 1870s Woodlaithes consisted of a farm.

Doncaster Archives hold the 1858 Tithe apportionments and maps for Conisbrough, Firsby, Woodlaithes and Flanderwell.

Also see also the enumerators description in various censuses. The 1881 is easy to find...

Conisbrough District 10 includes...New Farm & Cottages, Red House, Woodlaithes, Flanderwell...

Not sure what you mean because I don't know anything about Thomas Senior.

I'd call a Mason an artisan.

In 1861, the occupant was a "Stone Quarrier (master) employing 3 men".

In 1851 there were two families - an ag lab and a stone mason.
