Joined about a year ago but never did anything about it, so I'm having another go.
Have been researching my family history and my husbands for a while now. Made great strides to begin but then started to get stuck and so gave up!!!
Reseaching Hick, Worcestershire, Fisher, Birmingham. Recently made a massive discovery, managed to read the census and find out that a John Hall was born in Beverley and was a hatter. I'd read this particular census a number of times and saw 'place of birth' as Berserby of course now I've deciphered it it is obviously Beverley! My family were all agricultural labourers who then moved to the city to work. My husband's family were all accountants and lived in large houses with servants in London, someone squandered all the money before it got to us!
