Since this message is 3 years old, you probably have more information on these people by now. I was wondering whether you've found them in the 1851, or even the 1841 census?
I'm not sure why you put this message under Berwickshire - I'm going to move it up to General Scottish to see if it can attract a new audience.

I searched, on my own!, but got nowheree
I would appreciate any help that you can give me. I never did get any
    reply to my query.
Many thanks for your interest. Incidentally, what was the message that
was sent to me and that I never got?

I'm afraid that I don't know anything about a message. I was referring to your post of 3 years back.

If you can find these people in the 1851 census, it should give you their birth parishes, or at least county, which will help a lot.
Do they tie in with the Gilbert Sackbille who married Isabella Budd in 1860 in London?

    Default Information on Gilbert Sackville

    Hello

I was researching my family tree and found the name of Gilbert Sackville on a marriage certificate from 9 November 1840 as the father of the bride, Jane Sackville.
Gilbert was born about 1779/1781 in Alnwick, Northumberland, England and married Margaret and then later on is listed as married to Isabella.

    Talking Update

Just to let you know I contacted Florence and we have shared information.
With the shared information we have confirmed the area where Gilbert Sackville was born and married (Berwick), where he worked and lived (Marylebone in London), that he married 2 of his daughters off to two men who had the same occupation and that it seems all his children or grandchildren we dead or had left the UK before he died. That possibly explains why he remarried so late in life (82!). Finding the who is not half as interesting as finding out how the wheres, whys and whats!

If that's Berwick on Tweed rather than Berwickshire, maybe we should move this thread to the Northumberland forum?

    Default It was Berwick

The Sackvilles were originally from Northumberland and moved to Marylebone in 1820s or 1830s.

    Default SACKVILLES IN NORTHUMBERLAND/SCOTTISH BORDERS

It's great to see some interest in Gilbert Sackville and family. I was in touch with Florence several years ago about Dorothy Sackville Jarvis.
I'm also happy to see a few more tidbits of information come to light.
For example, I hadn't known that Gilbert was born in Alnwick but now I see it is in the 1861 census.
I don't even know if I am connected to Gilbert and his bunch but I am descended from a Sackville family who lived along "England/Scotland Borders", "near the River Tweed", and "near the Cheviot Hills": all according to family tradition.
A John(James?) Sackville, b abt 1782, his wife Annie/Agnes?, abt the same age, and the following 5 grown children emigrated to Bewdley, Ontario, Canada in the 1830s.
James Sackville b: ABT 1806 in England
William Sackville b: ABT 1808 in England or Scotland
George Sackville b: ABT 1812 in England
John Sackville b: ABT 1815 in Scotland
Agnes Sackville b: ABT 1820 in England

They don't seem to have left much of a trace in the records on either side of the border so Gilbert and his family are the only Sackvilles I have ever heard of in that part of the world at that time period.

Oh yeah, someone once did a search of Northumberland records for me and found these 2 burials, probably children. Maybe they are Gilberts?

    Berwick Burial Register. Details are:

p.88 #697 George Sackville, of Shaw's lane Berwick, buried 27 Feb. 1817, J. Barnes officiated.

p.144 #1151 John Sackville, of Shaw's lane Berwick, buried 25 Dec. 1819, J. Barnes officiated.
