    Question CARTER, COX, ROOTHAM, LINES, KILBY, SHAW, & others

    I am trying to locate anyone from my grandmother's family from Huntingdonshire.

    You give appoximate years of marriage for several in your list, which hints at not having relevant certificates, which will be of use to you.

    In case you aren't aware, the approximate year can be narrowed down using the GRO index. A project exists to transcribe this and make it freely available, it is not complete and contains errors, but is still a very useful tool. The site is freebmd if you find an entry, confirm the reference with the full GRO index and you will then able to apply for a copy of the certificate, if you wish to obtain it.

    Have you traced any of these people in census returns?
