Townsley Travellers North East

Some of my husband's ancestors were Travellers, by the name of Townsley. They were mainly Hawkers and Tinsmiths and travelled mostly around the North of England and Scotland, with a few visits to Ireland thrown in as well. Does anyone have any connections or information please?

hi my g.gran was a townsley, and married a william boyd, these too were hawkers, selling their wares from a horse and cart in the cumberland and westmorland area, the townsley's married several times into the boyd family, hope this is of some help, also if you google townsley family, you will find they have their site jill
