    Default Death Date

Ann Ruscoe marr William Furber in 1829 they are together in 1841 and 1851 Census in Whixall But not in 1861 census William now (Wid)
So I have look for a death date for Ann on the FreeBMD site from 1851 to 1861 and have found one possible date (only one Ann)
Mar quarter 1851 Wem now I believe the census was taken on the 30 of March 1851

    What do you think?

    Best Regards

I think you should check the actual indexes and not simply rely on FreeBMD.

When you do this you may like to pay special attention to the June quarter of 1857

    To clarify...

    FreeBMD throws up two -

    Deaths Mar 1851
    FURBER Ann Wem 18 177

    and

    Deaths Mar 1856
    FURBER Anne Wem 6a 480

    plus two suspicious ones -

    Deaths Jun 1857
    Fuber Ann Wem 6a 465
    Furter Ann Wem 6a 464

It's FURTER that seems to be a mistranscribed FURBER and it's this one that I was particularly drawing to your attention.

FUBER appears to accurately transcribed by FreeBMD but that's not to say that it was accurately indexed in the first place. It shouldn't be discounted either.
