Please can anyone help ! !
My Husband's Great Grandmother Eliza E. ALDRIDGE born 1857, Longton, Stoke on Trent, had a son Thomas Aldridge Born 1876 Fenton, ( my husband's Grandfather ) Stoke onTrent, she was not married to Thomas's father a George Wagstaff 1852, Fenton, Stoke on Trent, they also had another child Ann E. Aldridge born 1880 Hanford, Stoke on Trent, they are living with relations of Thomas's in the 1881 Census.
Now as the story goes, Eliza may have married, before leaving Thomas in England, and took herself and daughter off to America, never to be heard of again.

I have checked the passenger lists but cannot find one to match Eliza Aldridge, however there is a marriage record for Eliza Elizabeth Alldridge in Stoke T in March 1886, the only one I could find between 1880 and 1890. I have a subscription to findmypast so can check for passengers if you have any more names/info you would like me to try.

I took a look and can't find your Aldridge's in America. But there's the possibility that the name got mucked up. Perhaps it turned into Aldrich or something else.
