Hello Evelyn,it's Jan Leach here. Somehow you have posted a thread to the forum I used to get Bill's family details.
I found a few names and posted the details that were in the form of cenus forms, I believe she gave them to Peter, I thought he would have passed them over to you. How wonderful that you are off to the UK soon.
My new email is jan_leach AT bigpond DOT com please send me an email, love to hear from you - Jan & Graeme xoxoxo

A William Simkin Welch was born to Benjamin (b.1781) and Dorothy Welch (b.1791) and was christened 7 June 1823 at Edingale, nr Stafford. He had seven siblings, one of whom, Thomas James Welch, married Sophie Hill in Birmingham. In 1851 Thomas was working in New Street, Birmingham as an Assistant Draper and in 1861 he was a Linen Draper in Birmingham Street, Oldbury - it would be really interesting to know if there is a connection with Welch & Rayners!!

Hello peggysue49 and welcome to the forum

Unfortunately, this is a very old thread and Janice is no longer a member of the forum. You could try the email address given in post #11 and see if she responds.
EvelynWelch is still a member though has not visited for some time, you could click on her user name and send her a Private Message which she should receive.
Good Luck
