I have a document titled "valuation of lands and heritages Scotland yer 1893-94 County Fife" which I bought many years ago in Australia. The document is accompanied by a letter regarding a dispute as to the valuation. The document is addressed to:

Mrs Eliz L. Burton
New Forgie, Gateside, Strathmiglo.

This is then crossed out and another address:
10 Stanley Gardens, Kensington Park, London. is written.

I would love to find out more about these people and hopefully find Mrs Burton (the landowner) ancestors as I would be happy to pass it back to the family. It is in poor condition and would need some TLC and some expert preservation to keep it from deteriorating any further.


Other names that appear are John Brown, Alex Birrell, Alex Stewart Alex Smith, John Hanlon and Robert Leslie.
