    Default Clasps

Merry Xmas all, I have recently come across my G Grand fathers medal records from WW1, on it there is a note about clasps, I have been told these were given if you were involved in a specific battle, I am wondering if anyone knows which battles they relate to, they are I.V.4300/C also not sure about this its hard to read but i think it says AnthonyC/1/3192 and looks like Lublist CC/531 Also does Cooks of Drns mean anything to anyone, its has this written in the Corps box. Im pretty sure the Drns stands for dragoons as he was also in the Scots Greys, would appreciate any help anyone could give me

    regards Steve

    Talking Clasp and Roses

    Hi Steve,
you could go to 1914-1918.net/ (put www. at the front) , under "Research", "Campaign Medals"
it explains all about the "Clasp and Roses" - ie the exact battle you are interested in and the least common campaign medal the 1914 of Mons Star!
