Of late there has been an increasing tendency to post requests for information on people who could well still be alive. Please note that it is not a good idea to post details of living people on an open forum, and any replies with information on someone who could still be alive should be sent to the poster by private message.
This is a genealogy forum and is not really a forum for tracking lost family members or old friends. That is better done by writing to a local newspaper or using a site like Friends Reunited. It is also not the appropriate place for adopted people to track down a living birth mother. Advice on how to do this is given as a Sticky on the Pre 1900 Adoption Forum.
