Hi Wasagan. My grandfather was John Arnold Newman b. 1876. I've seen Robert's grave as my parents and grandparents are also buried in Hamworthy churchyard. My brother was named Robert as this seems to have been a family name. Who was your grandparent?

Hello again - are you Truda? - if so your brother must be the vicar in Cornwall (at least till 1983 anyway). I wrote to him once for downstream family info but he never responded.
My grandfather was Harold Earle Newman.
I have accumulated quite a bit of Newman family info and will probably continue expanding the tree until my fingers drop off.

Newman on Portland
Good to hear from you again wasagan. Yes my brother was Robert the vicar in Cornwall but unfortunately he died in 2004. Your grandfather and mine were brothers. I think yours emigrated in the 1920s. I'd love to exchange info if you would like to give me a contact email. My email address is trudi.beaumont@orange.fr
Look forward to hearing from you.
Trudi
