Default Douglas Forrest 1851 St giles Cripplegate

    Hello,
Has any one access to the 1851 census for St Giles Cripplegate? I have a Douglas Forrest Of 34 Lower Whitecross St. marries Elizabeth Brown of 7 Lower Whitecross St. in 1848. Douglas's father James died in the workhouse Vinegar yard St Giles in 1866,Either of their birthplaces may help me search for more information.
    many thanks Richard.

Many thanks for looking for these elusive Forrests for me. I have looked through the St Giles births 1825-1833 in case Douglas was baptized there but could not find him. Any ideas what to try next?
    again thanks for your help.
    Richard.

Default Douglas Forrest and Elizabeth Brawn - St. Giles

I am related to Douglas Forrest and have their marriage listed in my family tree at St. Giles Cripplegate on 10 June 1848. He died on 11 January 1903 in Mile End Old Town and apparently was born in Essex - do you know where? His father James (of Scottish descent) a tailor, died on 6 October 1866 at St. Giles. This is as far as I go, but would like further information - please contact me.
    regards
    Norman Lucey

For once I think Myth must have looked in a mythical Index

In the 1861 census Street Index there is an entry under #19 Broad St (REFUGE) RG9/167 Folio 109 and entries under St Giles, also Schools, and also Workhouse all of which may be relevant
