can any one tell me how i can get details about my grandad Robert Howarth as child worked down the mine.
till he joined the Lanacashire Fusilers and served in ww1
the mine i think was near Standish gate Wigan near Little London which was wear he lived.
would like to be able to get a copy of his work record or just to learn more about the mine and what conditions were like

They may also have some information about where your grandfather worked.
