i am trying to trace my fathers sisters family in america.
my father was peter roanld webb and was born in south tedworth, wiltshire, england on the 6th september in 1928.
my aunts name was barbara. i believe she entered america through ellis island, new york. apparently she was living in bergen, new jersey with her husband joseph and there 2 children, joseph jr and his sister beverly.
there is a good chance that barbara has passed away but it would be nice to trace there children joseph and beverly.
it would be nice if some one could up with some leads for me
best wishes

Barbara,
I am married to an adopted Christoforo and have access to records of Christoforo's of various spellings.
Is Joseph's last name De Christofero?

christofero or de christefero
hi there,
thanks for replying too my post.
we are not sure, whether is it is christofero or de christofero. my younger sister was under the impression that is was de christofero.
about a year ago i put a message board on ancestry to see if i had any luck.
i had a couple of replies especially about a barbara l christofero who was born on the 1 april 1930 and died in april 1994 living in woburn, middlesex, ma. her husband was a anthony j christofero born 22 october 1927. he died the november before. 4 november 1993.
i do know that there was a wendy christofero living at that address.
the lead did also tell me about a dr joseph christofero, a dentist form long island that has a son also a dentist in new jersey.
i did write to these people, the letter to woburn was returned unopened and the letter and email to the dentist in long island was never answered.
hopefully i will be sending of for my fathers birth certificate next month as i am only going on what information where he was born on his death certficate.
perhaps once i find out his biological parents were then i will have more information on barbara to find out who her biologocial parents are and perhaps be able to get a copy of her birth certicate.
thanks for your help. i do not know if anything i have told you will help.

My husband's step-grandmother has done EXTENSIVE research on the Christoforo name and it's variations in the United States. She told me about it several years ago.
I just remembered something my husband told me a couple years ago. He met another Christoforo or some spelling variation when he was in the Marine Corps. That Christoforo was from New Jersey!! I asked him about it last night and he said he's sure it was boot camp.
So tonight, we're diving into the books stored in the plastic bins awaiting the finish of the family room to find his book from bootcamp to see if the Christoforo from New Jersey is in it.
I'll ask him to call Nana and find out what she knows about New Jersey Christoforo's, that woman has a brain like a filing cabinet. She doesn't forget a thing.
