I am desperately seeking information regarding any/all of the above mentioned surnames. On various official documents our family name has been spelt CULLINGHAM when in fact it is CUNNINGHAM.
I am trying to find information either census or BMD's for Thomas Cunningham married to Ann Cunningham. The only census I have found anything on is the 1871 when the name is down as COLLINGHAM.
My great-grandfather Jesse was born in 1861??? and is a son of Thomas and Ann Cunningham. Jesse married Emma Glover and had 8 children (we think) of which Henry was my grandfather. More recent information on the other 7 children would be brilliant (marriages and deaths). I know I'm asking a lot
Thomas, Harriet, Henry, Rose, Frank, Minnie, Jack.
Oh I forgot there is a Lizzie (Elizabeth) somewhere in there too.
Some crumbs to get me going.
Thank you very much
Lesley L
PS Places had come up are Hadlow, Shipbourne, Wrotham, Gravesend.

1881 Jesse Collingham was 20 years old and born 1861 in Hadlow.
Son of Thomas and Ann.
Sibling at home with Jesse, mum and dad was Frances age 17.
Looking at the original it was Cullingham and they lived at 11 Cottage.
They were Ag Labs.
Next door was George and Eliza Cullingham.

Cunningham, Cullingham, Collingham??????
Thanks Mutley - I had discovered the Jesse Cunningham birth and sent for the certificate yesterday.
The 1901 census was the one that got me started.
I have found a Thomas CULLINGHAM 1841 census with wife Ann both age 20, born Kent census area Tonbridge but I have also found in the same census Thomas COLLINGHAM with wife Mary, both age 45 and children William, 15 and Anne, 12. Not sure which one is mine.
The 1851 and 1861 censuses I've come up blank but for the 1871 I have found Thomas COLLINGHAM, 54 and wife Ann, 52 with children
Thomas age 29
Elizabeth age 19
George age 12
Jesse age 10
Frances age 7
AND THEN
another Jesse CULLINGHAM, in the same census, with John and Susan Jenner. With two other CULLINGHAM'S Charlotte and John, grandchildren.
The 1881 and 1891 nothing again.
Talking out loud really - hope the weather in the sunny Algarve is as glorious as London is today.
