    Default Looking For Edward Newman, Royal Artilery

    Hi

    We are looking for information on Edward Newman who served in the Royal Artilery. He had a daughter Mary Ann Newman 1874 born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, India on her birth certificate we have Edward Newman father (batchelor) and mother Mary Ann (Spinster).

    We cannot find any other information on him.

    Can anyone help?

    A good place to start might be with his service record on the army which will be at The National Archives at Kew. Have a look through the research guides on their web-site - click on the links prefixed 'British Army'
