Hi the name is Andrew, been researching my familiy for a couple of months now, it's been really interesting and made a few new friends and found new family members along they way. I have run into a few problems along the way and hope with a little luck someone can help me find solutions to my problems. In the UK 1901 census my great grandparents are listed these are William and Minnie WHITE. They have several children living with them. My grandad isn't one of them as he wasn't born until 1904. The 2 eldest children are Williams from his first marriage Harriet who sadly died giving birth the child also died shortly after. There is a daughter called Agnes who was born in Ireland. She was born shortly after Williams first wife and third son died. I don't know if she was Williams child or not as I have been unable to trace her birth certificate the only info is she was born abt 1891 in Ireland. I have also been unable to locate Williams & Minnies Marriage this I suppose could also have been in Ireland. I have got 3 of Williams & Minnies childrens Birth Certificates. Two of the certificate say her Minnies surname was MACGILL the third says MAGILL I have also been unsuccessful in tracing her Birth under either of these variants. What I did locate was a scottish census with a Minnie MCGILL whose mother and sister were both called Agnes which is also Minnies eldest childs name, but that could just be a coinsidence. CAn anyone provide any help regarding the Ireland connection.
Regards
Andrew

You don't mention the County they were born/married in. Try www.national.archives.ie for 1911 Dublin census. Also try www.genuki.org.uk. Were the addresses of parents in UK or Ireland? Have you tried www.familysearch.org?
Sadly, our friend Vanessa, passed away 29th. February 2012.
