I am looking for the old name of a person who would move someone and their goods from one place to another. I presume they used a wagon or cart and horses. The word Carter comes to mind but when I looked it up on this site I got Pres. Carter etc.

Names that spring immediately to mind are Carrier (people & goods) and Waggoner (mainly goods).

Thanks for your help, I think that I'll use Carter. That is a good site you put on your answer.
