    Default Bromsgrove Institute

    Hello
I'd be very grateful if someone could email me a picture of the Bromsgrove Institute (now demolished) which stood in the High Street. I have looked on the internet but not had any success.
    If you can help, thanks.

It might be worth an email to here:

In the origin blurb it states

The history of the Trust has its roots in the mid-nineteenth century when Bromsgrove's Literary & Mechanics Institute in the High Street was amalgamated with the Working Men's Club. To provide more space the Institute Council built the Institute in New Road in 1893, which included a library, reading rooms and a hall for lectures, meetings, entertainments and gymnastics. In 1930 the building was passed over in trust to the County Council and eventually, after standing empty for several years, was sold to developers in 1988.
