Cannot believe that there is no one who can help me locate information regarding Atkinsons who lived in Rochdale at the time of the 1841 Census. This is my stumbling block as I can find little to no information about Thomas Atkinson, son of John and Phoeby Atkinson. Thomas may have had a sister Isabella and a brother Matthew or Mathew. Both Thomas and Isabella were christened in Blackburn in 1824. If anyone can help please make contact. David

Class: HO107; Piece 552; Book: 6; Civil Parish: Rochdale; County: Lancashire; Enumeration District: 2; Folio: 25; Page: 15;
John Atkinson age 49

They lived in John's Street. They were not born in the county. Matthew was an errand Boy, the occupations of the others are too faint.

As regards Thomas he must have left home and could be married or living anywhere in 1841.
There is a Phoebe in 1851, she is born abt 1784 is the head of the household and has grandson Thomas born abt 1844 living with her.
Thomas was born in Rochdale and Phoebe in Walsingham, Durham. They live in Oldham.
