    Default HAROLD WHITESIDE

I came across a family wedding photograph from the 1920's signed "Harold & Doris Whiteside". I am trying to trace Harold Whiteside. I have found four births in Blackpool / Fylde in Lancashire BMD which might be my Harold: 1897 Harold Oxendale Whiteside; 1899 Harold Whiteside; 1889 Harry Whiteside; 1902 Harold Whiteside. I would very much appreciate a 1901 census lookup for the parents of the three Harold Whitesides born before 1901. Thanks.

There is also a WW1 pension record for a Harry Whiteside, a weaver, address 31 Station Road, then I think it says Preston (as opposed to Wesham), Father John Thomas Whiteside of 31 Station Road, Wesham.

15th July 1916 he is 17 years old and 10 months. (could be a birthdate of 12/9/1898)

    UPDATE

Another address mentioned is 19? Laburnum Terrace, Wesham, Kirkham, Preston - I think this pertains to the same chap and it states he has been 'deaf since childhood and can only hear loud voices'.

The address of his emloyer was Kirkham Manufacturing Company, Sunnybank Mills, Kirkham, Preston.

There are a few possibles so it is a case of take your pick and see if any names or occupations mean anything. Hope this helps.
