Please can anyone help me find the 1841 census for Knuzden Hall,Oswaldtwistle? I am unable to find the Rodgett family James born 1815 his wife Isabella and daughter Betsey born 1838 by name no matter how many variations of spelling I put in. I have Betsey's birth certificate showing she was born at Knuzden Hall, Oswaldtwistle in 1838 but the next record I have is birth of her brother James in 1845 when the family were at St Albans place in Blackburn, I cannot find them on 1841 census and by 1851 both James and his wife are dead and the children are still in St Albans Place but living with their stepmother.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as until I can find James Rodgett born 1815 I am at a dead end tracing back his roots.
Many thanks
Jackie

Found it! After hours of trawling through all enumeration districts it was the last one -12 and James Rodgett had been transcribed as Tamer Padget, no wonder I couldn't find him!

Thanks for everyone here in in Manchester forum for their help.
A very happy Jackie!!!

Well done
...sometimes you can't beat an old fashioned trawl. And when you find something right at the end of your search, when you are staring to get a bit miffed...doesn't it feel sooooooooooo good.
