    Default Hello - I'm new to the forum

    Hi everyone
    I've been researching on and off for about 7 years with varying degrees of success. My Bedfordshire lot have been pretty easy to trace (Marshall, Marlow +), and I moved to a village long before I started researching and then found that loads of my ancestors lived here from the 1600s up to the mid 1800s. There had been no indication of this in any family stories!
    However - my Lancashire lot (Pickles, Sunman etc) have proved far more elusive. They are the main reason I have decided to get going again - I am determined to get through those brickwalls!

    Thank you for the welcome. I'm looking forward to using the site to help my research, I've had a browse round some of the forums - everyone seems very friendly and helpful.
