It looks as if Thomas BRIARS has died by 1861 as Amelia is shown as a Widow, still living at Back Lane, Stevenage (RG9/817, folios 35/36, pages 27/8) with children Edward, Mary, Ellen, Amelia aged 7, Joseph aged 4 and Jane aged 2.
