Is there a graveyard in Thurmaston?
And does anyone have access to records?
I'm looking for burials for
Horace Law d AMJ 1925 aged 21
Frank Law d October 1925 aged 45
Clara Law d Jan 1930
The home address was Reading St Thurmaston.
I did try some of the leicester city cemeteries but didn't find any of them.
Would really appreciate some help.

Hi,
Sorry, no access to records, but there is a church & yard.
if you go to maps.live.com, and search for Thurmaston, you can zoom in on the old village and see it there. Not too many grave stones.
It's been about 26 years since I lived there. But there is a church & yard, it's on the junction of Melton Road & Church lane.

hi mike
Thanks for your reply .
Need to look for another location for burials perhaps.
Or might there be records at Wigston Research Centre.
Will look at map. Thanks

Burials from Thurmaston
Does anyone know of the likelihood of being buried in Syston if your address was in Thurmaston?
If so, does anyone have access to Syston church reocrds?

Thurmaston burials
Hi,
I live in Thurmaston and can tell you that in addition to the churchyard, there is also a further cemetery in the village. Judging by the date of the burials you are interested in its the cemetery and not the churchyard that you need to look up. Perhaps the village Society or the Parish Council may be able to assist.

Hi
Thanks for your info.
I'll try both. Do you have addresses for them please?
Thanks again.
I do have death certificates for them..Horace died in Thurmaston, no address.
Frank died in Carlton Hayes and Clara died in the Infirmary.

Try searching for Thurmaston using google. Sorry, not trying to be sarcastic.
The Thurmaston Heritage Group does have a website and the parish Council can be contacted at the following email address:
clark@thurmastonpc.gov.uk
Good luck with your search.
