I've narrowed my FLETCHER one-name search down to a small village called Warboys in Huntingdonshire going from a few know census entries in the 1841, 1851 and 1871 records, thanks to some very kind fellow family historians.

However, I'd be interested to hear from anyone what they may know about Wesleyan Methodism in the area at that time (ie, pre-1870s).

My earliest know ancestor is a William Fletcher, born Warboys in c.1801. I have traced him through from my grandfather, his father etc.., but am finding it really quite hard to follow the threads forward in time (ie, from William forwards).

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

As a side issue, one, maybe two, of William's grandchildren were enlisted into the Army at some point int he early 1880s, so any leads on this aspect of British Military history would be welcome.
