    Default Experience with Nuns

I have just found out that 2 of my great, great aunts were nuns, the elderly relative that informed me of the fact has not a clue which order they were with. She thinks they served in Asia, but that is all. I have spoken to the Parish Priest of the church that they attended and he gave me the contact details of the Order that most girls from the parish joined. They dont have any knowledge of them.
    Where do I go next

This Family Tree business is certainly strange, 6 months ago I would never have thought I would be in correspondence with a religeous order of sisters

Any help would be greatly recieved

    Hello Simon

The Catholic Family History Society might be a good place to start:
    http://www.catholic-history.org.uk/cfhs/
They maintain an Index of Nuns
This is an index of approximately 14,000 nuns who were in the English Province of their Order. It is arranged alphabetically by the surname of each nun and usually gives date of birth, names of parents, religious name, dates of profession, date and place of death and name of Order.
A search is free to members, they ask for a £5 donation from non-members.

    Good luck
