    Red face Sanson

    Hi I am tracing all Sanson/Sansoun/Sansoune/Sansoin/ Etc names in East Lothian and BerwickshireI have a fairly full List of them In Innerwick 1609 onwards then Oldhamstokes 1780`s after which the spread out to Cockburnspath, Eyemouth, Dunbar, New Berwick, any sightings of the in other areas would be welcome

    I have just seen the christening of James, son of James Allane and Issobell Sanson in Cockburnspath in 1642. This is in the book "Cockburnspath a history of a people and a place", but it does not give the source for the information.

    Hi,
    I have John Mather Sanson ,son of George Sanson and Jean Wilson ,born 1842 Dunbar. He married Emma Sophia Watson in London,then emigrated to Perth Australia . A lot of Information on his family in Australia is on a site called `TROVE`.
