I'm a second generation Canadian with all roots in the UK; Ulster-Scots on both sides with a sprinkling of Cornwall, Shropshire and Leeds thrown in for good measure. Frankly, I'm glad the gene pool is broad and deep. My genealogy efforts involve poking around in the records to see how far back I can go. Luck and the work of others resulted in all four branches going back, in two cases, to the 1600's and the other two, the early 1800's. I don't have any connection with those names you mention but I am in Cornwall if you need any information on that side of things.
There was a Mr Hanna working as a neurosurgeon in Nantwich,Cheshire back in the 1960s - any relation to your family?
