Is there a minimum age to join a FHS? Can under 16s join or use the resources?

I am sure that if you are prepared to pay your membership fee then most societies would welcome you as a member. I know that Gwent FHS would be delighted so I hope you find ancestors in our part of the country.

    Default minimum age..

HEY you might want to be upfront because some societies can help you out with college. That is the case with the one of the ones I joined... They can get you grants to help out with schooling.. you may want to talk to your parents and see if this is an option.. Also they may not charge you the full membership .. and if your parents join.. you may be free... Look into the society first .. It may be to your advantage to be 16. thanks chris
