I am looking for information on Thomas (Tam) Beattie.
Believe that the area would be Dumfries
Am led to believe that he died in 1985 ??
His parents were James Beattie & Sarah Thomson Seaton.

Baldy, can I suggest you add more detail to your request? What information do you hold on these people - dates of birth, marriage, etc, etc? You could also try asking on this site http://talkingscot.com/forum/index - it is a site dedicated to researching Scottish ancestors and you are more likely to find someone through them, I think. Yes I do agree.Unfortunalely that is about the extent of what I have.
Since posting last evening I have received this little extra .

He died sometime in the mid 1980s,He had 2 sons,James and .... [ edited by mod - removed name of living person ... ],James died a couple of years ago from cancer .

This came via another person & I still have not verified the detail

I have "tried" numerous times to contact .... [edited by moderator - removed information about a living person] ,but,it seems that he wants no contact.there is not much else one can do ???
