I live in Worcestershire a few miles from Ombersley and I have not heard of Action Hall. I did a little research but found nothing about Action Hall or Lyneholt, are you sure that they are near Ombersley? There is a place called Holt not far from Ombersley.
Regards

hi John
Thanks ever so much in replying to me, and looking into Action Hall, my info comes mostly from IGI - but I have noticed that somewhere else Action Hall was ACTON Hall. Does that ring any bells?
IGI notes...
Richard Bourne
Birth: 1580 Lyneholt, Ombersley, Worcester, England
Death: 09 NOV 1669
Mrs Richard Bourne
Marriage: MAR 1618 <Action Hall, Ombersley, Worcester, England>
So I suppose your Holt couldve been Lyneholt once upon a time.
thanks again
all the best

Acton Hall ,address
from google I have found Acton Manor in a planning application in 2005
Acton Manor,Acton,Ombersley,DY13 9TF
with an postal address of
Acton Manor
Acton
Stourport on Severn
Worcs
DY13 9FT

A2A has for Worcestershire Record Office -
(among other things) "Deed of grant and other papers relating to the laying of a water pipe on lands part of Acton Hall Farm in parishes of Ombersley and Elmley Lovett 1974-75"
The above streetmap reference for Acton Hall pretty well confirms this positioning.

Ombersley
Hi Marian,
I too live near Ombersley and the places you asked about will be Acton Hall and Lyneholt and both exist. Lyneholt is an area near Ombersley and should not be confused with Holt which is a different place and parish but very close.
With regards to indexes both Worcestershire Marriage and Burial indexes cover the parish. I indexed a great deal of Worcestershire Burial Index myself and the parish of Ombersley will be covered from 1660 - 1840.
Bourne is a very common surname in the Ombersley/Droitwich area.
Cheers Jeremy

Is Acton Hall a place or a building! Sorry being a little slow here today.
Would it be at all possible for you to do a look up for me please?
RICHARD BOURNE b abt 1625 Acton Hall. would like to know about his burial/death I think 1663 Ombersley
would there be any marriages transcribed by anyone at all please.
thanks ever so much

Ombersley
Hi Marian,
Lineholt is a small village north west of Ombersley village in the parish of Ombersley. Acton Hall is a hall in the village/hamlet of Acton to the east of A449 and about 2 miles north of Ombersley and about 1 mile north east of Lineholt. I am not sure what parish it falls in but it is likely to be Doverdale but may have been or still is Ombersley.
Worcester Record Office will hold a Marriage Index for Worcestershire and BMSGH has a Worcestershire index for both marriages and burials. If you check their site it will give you the names of the present holders of the indexes and the fee which is not very expensive.
Cheers Jeremy
